As you can guess from this edition's cover story, my biggest focus at this particular moment is the Compass Magazine's fifth annual Taichung International Food & Music Festival. As the article notes, this year's event is exceptional for two reasons--a bigger, all-new location on the Art Museum Parkway and about twice as many vendors as seen in previous festivals. Co-Publisher Donovan Smith and I are very excited about the Parkway location, with its attractive, grassy setting in one of the city's most popular dining neighborhoods, which should make this year's festival an even better place to linger all day at as you enjoy an unrivalled variety of Taichung's international food and drinks, and its best live bands. Naturally, we want to thank the Parkway committee, our sponsors, music coordinator Patrick Byrne and the Taichung city government for making this all a reality.
