In the aftermath of the busy, heady days of the lunar new year holiday, Valentine's Day often seems to catch many people off guard. I've always thought that it would be better, perhaps, to celebrate this occasion during a warmer month of the year, but of course we always have that later opportunity with Chinese Valentine's Day. It is also nice to have a pleasant, romantic occasion to brighten up what might otherwise be a very anticlimactic month.
